Conclusion

S-Acetyl-NHS-MAG₃ is an efficient bifunctional chelator for 99mTc labeling with oligonucleotides. Using 99mTc labeled antisense probes, malignant tumors with over-expressed oncogene mRNAs may be specifically imaged at an early stage.
